I’ve been drinking Whisky since my teens, but it’s only been in the last 5-6 years that my interest has grown and turned into a no-nonsense, games-aside, passion. If the word addict didn’t have negative connotations I would use it to describe my approach to whisky, but the truth is it is an interest that I pursue with zest and it consumes much of my free time. I actively seek out whiskies I haven’t tried, I read the latest news from industry folk, distilleries and fellow bloggers, purchase new whiskies online, swap samples, plan trips to whisky destinations, et cetera. You get the point.
This is not a way for me to make money, or set myself up for a gig in the industry. I have a full-time job, this blog is an extension of my passion and interest in whisky. Its just another way to spend more of my energy on whisky, but with the intentions of sharing the fruits of my labour and engaging with like-minded individuals.
Whisky, and the people I drink it with, provide me with endless enjoyment, and hopefully, I can share some of this with you.

Great blog. I like to think I can pick up a thousand different tastes in whisky but really struggle to put words to them and admire folks who can.
Also liked your comments on the Three Ships vs the others on the TimesLive blog – odd that guys who confess to knowing little about whisky go ahead and run a twitter whisky tasting.

My passion for whisky has just begun to blossom! I attended the last two Whisky Live festivals and I’ve been blown away. My mates and I have even set up our own little whisky club. So many whiskies, so little time =D
