Announcing the WhiskyBrother Bar

We are very excited to announce our next WhiskyBrother initiative: Johannesburg's first dedicated whisky bar! The WhiskyBrother Bar is currently in its final phase of development and, should all continue to plan, we expect to open in the first week of November.

The bar, just like the store, is solely dedicated to whisky and aims to provide an environment that is conducive to learning, sharing, tasting, meeting like-minded WhiskyBrothers/Sisters, growing the local whisky community, and experiencing all things whisky.

Located in Morningside Shopping Centre on Rivonia Road, Sandton, the bar has a capacity of 28 people with an additional 10-person tasting room. The design incorporates whisky-related materials, in a smart but comfortable setting, that showcases the stunning selection of whiskies (750 and growing) spanning multiple countries, styles and categories. A comprehensive menu will list all whiskies, available to order in 15ml or 25ml pours, as well as the option of set or customised whisky tastings.

We hope you share our excitement, and sentiment that the bar will be a welcomed addition to the Joburg (and South African) whisky scene. We'll send you an update as soon we have a confirmed opening date. We look forward to seeing you for a dram!

For our loyal fans and whisky-loving regulars, we are offering two different annual membership options which provide several perks, in addition to being able to enjoy your own whiskies when visiting the bar:

Copper Membership (only 18 available)

• Private whisky locker holding 5-6 bottles
• 5% discount on all bar purchases
• Access to monthly members' nights and two exclusive tastings

Oak Membership (only 36 available)

• Private whisky locker holding 2-3 bottles
• Access to monthly members' nights and one exclusive tasting
