This 2nd release of the Balblair 1990 Vintage was produced before the distillery moved away from vintages to age statements. Distilled in 1990, matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak ex-sherry butts, and bottled in 2014. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: The aroma is spicy yet sweet and is punctuated with notes of raisins, toffee and honey. Hints of vanilla, chocolate and citrus fruits are also present.
Palate: Full bodied; sweet and spicy in character with hints of honey, raisins and zesty fruits.
Finish: Smooth and long lasting.
