More from All Whiskies R501 to R1,000
A blended malt, Tenjaku Pure Malt Japanese whisky is double-distilled in copper pot stills. Matured in ex-Kentucky bourbon barrels, Master Distiller Kenji Watanabe then creates the final blend from five- and six-year old whiskies. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Nutty, with hints of green apple and fresh herbs. Richly rounded with a hint of smokiness.
Palate: Delicate and smooth in the mouth.
Finish: Gentle vanilla notes give way to a long woody finish.
A purportedly new Japanese whisky, but very likely to in fact be a "world whisky" that contains malt whiskies produced in multiple countries (including Japan) that are vatted and bottled in Japan.
