Bottled at 19%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: The bouquet unfurls with walnut, roast almond, butterscotch, melange of spices, citrus, warming brandy and charred oak notes.
Palate: A lusciously smooth, mouth-watering palate of brandied fruits, fruit cake, roast nuts, butterscotch, warm spices.
Finish: Hints of citrus tantalise the taste buds long after the first sip.
Port is a geographically protected indication, meaning that to be called port it must be made in a specific region of Portugal. Thus, this is not technically a port wine, however, South African has a long tradition of producing port-styled wines in exactly the same process as is done in Portugal.
