Crafted from 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec, Raats Dolomite Cabernet Franc 2020 showcases the expressive character of these noble grape varieties. Grapes were hand-sorted three times, crushed and left to cold soak on the skins for five days. After fermentation at a temperature of 28°C, the grapes were basket pressed and underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 50% matured in concrete tank, 50% in older oak for 12 months. Residual sugar: 2.5g/l. Bottled at 13.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Enticing aromas of dark and red cherries, complemented by subtle herbal notes of sage and bell pepper, with a hint of clove adding complexity.

Palate: A medium-bodied profile featuring brambly dark berries and black cherries, interwoven with savory nuances and a streak of graphite.

Finish: A harmonious and sophisticated finish, where the wine's vibrant acidity and distinct minerality leave a lasting impression, accompanied by lingering notes of black pepper, all framed by supple, fine-grained tannins.
