The Grand Calcaire Chablis 2020 is a 100% Chardonnay wine produced in the Chablis region of Burgundy, France. Grapes are carefully selected from cool hillside vineyards with unique Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soil marls containing small comma-shaped limestone oysters. This unique soil type gives the wines their original character and distinctive minerality. The cool night-time temperatures help preserve the grapes' acidity. The grape juice is settled with precision before being fermented primarily in stainless steel vats with careful monitoring of the temperature and fermentation kinetics. A small proportion of the musts are fermented in oak barrels. The wine is then aged on its fine lees with stirring (bâtonnage) carried out during the first two months of ageing to create even greater complexity. Frequent tastings ensure optimal development of the wine's qualities before final blending. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Expressive and intense, showcasing aromas of spring flowers such as calendula and daisy, alongside bright citrus notes of lemongrass and candied lemon. Subtle hints of angelica, ginger, cedar, and sugared almonds add complexity.

Palate: Fresh, lively, and zesty on entry, the palate reveals excellent length and a precise minerality that anchors the wine's vibrant character.

Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering notes of orange peel that leave a memorable impression of finesse and balance.
