Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Glenlivet has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1824 when George Smith officially licensed the distillery on the same site where his family are rumoured to have been illicitly distilling since as far back as 1774. Today this Speyside producer can boast to be one of the consistently top selling single malts in the world with; the distillery's capacity is 10.5 million litres of pure alcohol per year. And although that places it firmly among the largest producers, the distillery is currently undergoing a sizable expansion to ensure it can continue to meet the world-wide, growing demand for whisky.
