Part of Irish Distillers’ single pot still range. Produced specifically for Dublin grocer Mitchell and Sons, this no-age-statement (NAS) whiskey was once only available in Dublin. The name comes from a practice of marking different ages of maturing barrels of whiskey with a dab of paint. Approximately a quarter of the whisky was matured in ex-sherry casks. Bottled at 46%.
Nose: Fresh aromatic oils and spices with orchard fruits and barley on a background of toasted wood.
Palate: Full spicy body. A hint of cloves along with the fruity sweetness of green apples, rounded off with toasted oak.
Finish: Lingering flavours of spices and barley.
