A limited release from boutique blenders, Compass Box, launched in 2022. Inspired by the nostalgia of old bookshops, Compass Box Vellichor features sherry-matured whisky, combined with impressively matured malt whiskies from renowned Scottish distilleries: 23yo Macallan (12.1%), 25yo Highland Park (38.9%), and 37yo Caol Ila (4.1%). 3,246 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 44.6%.
Nose: Hints of leather, polished furniture and the crackling dustiness of decades-old pages.
Palate: Stacked with sumptuous malty notes, tropical fruit and sherry character.
Finish: A delicate but persistent peatiness.
