DESCRIPTION

A limited edition from the Ardnamurchan distillery in the Highlands, released in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Produced from unpeated spirit, matured for 10 years initially in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before approximately half of the batch was transferred to Champagne Paul Lanais barriques for a finishing period of over a year. 15,000 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 50%. 

OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES

Nose: The nose opens with an overtly tropical offering; replete with ripe mangoes, pineapple cubes, lots of honey. There are baked bananas, brown sugar, figs, and wine gums. With time, we go a little deeper into darker tones of crème caramel, toffee, and meringues with white chocolate.

Palate: Oh, hello there, waxiness! The theme of honey continues, backed up by linseed oil, warming spices, gingerbread, fresh pineapple, and cedar. 

Finish: Oily, waxy, showing great depth.
