A very rare and limited edition Ardbeg Committee Release launched in 2001. This 21yo is a vatting of twelve hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, distilled at Ardbeg between 1979 and 1980. Only 2,500 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a cask strength of 56.3%.

Nose: Rich and full-bodied, this unique vatting of Ardbeg perfectly combines deep peaty and richly aromatic notes. Cherries, orange peel and blackcurrants with the sweetness of marzipan, rum and raisins and Christmas cake.

Palate: Rich and exceptionally deep with peat, fruit and oak spices. Boiling sweets (menthol and cloves), apples and a salty tang followed by the enormity and dryness of peat.

Finish: Very long, dry and intensely smoky and peaty, with ground coffee and bitter almonds.
