Part of Diageo's Special Releases for 2019, a single malt from the Highland Glen Ord distillery. Distilled in 2000, matured for 18 years in freshly-charred American oak hogsheads and bottled in 2019. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 55%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: A mild nose-feel, with some prickle: lightly nose- drying. Subtle aroma is reminiscent of nougat, with traces of dried apple, on a zesty orange peel base.

Palate: Mouth-filling, and smooth in texture. Starts with the sweetness of caramel toffee, while an answering touch of orange peel sourness introduces a surprising, warming intensity that swells with complex spices.

Finish: Long, warming, and increasingly spicy, leaving the palate tingling. Lightly drying, too.
