Round is part of the Jameson Deconstructered Series, along with the Lively and Bold, that is generally only available in duty-free stores. The range seeks to explore the taste of Jameson Original by deconstructing its key characteristics and amplifying them. Like the Original, the Round is a blend of pot still and grain whiskey, but matured in virgin American oak barrels, bourbon barrels and sherry butts. (1 litre)

Nose: Robust notes of leather, pipe tobacco and walnuts. A little vanilla sweetness shows through giving hints of coffee cake.

Palate: Sweet vanilla fuses with soft ripe fruit and, together, combine with the rich pot still spices. All this on a firm foundation of toasted oak.

Finish: Long, as the richness fades to leave the last word with the wood.
