Jordan Blanc de Blancs MCC 2017 is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Grapes were harvested from 22 year old vines planted in Glenrosa and Hutton soil. The whole bunches are pressed and only the best cuvee fractions are used for the base wine. After primary fermentation, the wine goes through malolactic fermentation to give richness to the wine. Once this is complete, it is then inoculated for a second fermentation in the bottle under a crown cap, thus being method traditionale. After 24 months on lees, the bottles are then riddled on wooden pupitres and disgorged with the final dosage. Residual sugar: 5.9g/l. Bottled at 11%. (bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Fresh green apples with citrus blossom, and hints of fresh brioche on the nose.
Palate: Well balanced with full structure and elegant mousse with a mouth-filling bubble explosion.
Finish: A long crisp finish.
