A limited-edition peated single malt from Goa's Paul John, released in celebration of India's first interplanetary mission. Mars Orbiter is named after the spacecraft that was launched in the same month as this was distilled, November 2013. Matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled in July 2018. Only 350 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 57.8%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Aromas of honeyed orange blossom with a dash of Muscovado sugar tinged with smoked bacon and delicious peat.
Palate: Smooth and malty with flavours of dark cocoa, salted almonds and a sweet oak.
Finish: Long and delightfully spicy with a toasted sugar laced with gorgeous tannic smokiness.
