Our second exclusive, single cask brandy release from proudly South African distillery, Boplaas. The Nel’s of Boplaas can trace their brandy crafting lineage back to 1880 with their first export to the UK and claim as South Africa’s first Estate Brandy producer. This single estate, single harvest potstill brandy was crafted from Colombard grapes, distilled in 2019 and matured for 4 years in old Boplaas port casks, before being finisheded in a second-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrel for one year. Only 160 bottles were produced. Bottled at a high strength of 55%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Peach blossom, dried apricot, honey and caramelised almonds.
Palate: Honey, vanilla, tangerine and stonefruit.
Finish: Long and lingering sweet wood spice.
