Baleia Chardonnay 2022 hails from vines planted in 2010 and 2011, with the grapes carefully harvested at the end of February to capture peak ripeness and vibrant character. Fermentation was conducted over approximately 2 weeks in a blend of old French barrique and amphora, marrying traditional oak influence with the unique mineral expression of amphora. The wine then matured in a balanced 50/50 mix of amphora and old French barrique for 11 months, allowing it to evolve gracefully. Residual sugar: 2.6g/l. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Palate: On the palate, bright lemon meringue flavours meld seamlessly with hints of green apple and a touch of pear drops.

Finish: The finish is clean and persistent, showcasing a refreshing burst of grapefruit zest that lingers. The well-integrated acidity ensures a crisp, uplifting conclusion, inviting another sip.
