This is the entry level expression from this versatile Highland distillery. Lightly peated single malt, matured in American oak casks. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Dark, warm leather that builds into a more heathery character. These notes give way to a sweeter, malty presence. Lighter and more subtle wood notes become evident at the close.
Palate: A burst of malt on the tongue with sweet cereal notes giving a creamy texture. Brazil nuts with a slightly astringent citrus note in the background.
Finish: The citrus of the palate subsides and the finish becomes more conventionally sweet. Hints of dark molasses develop into a darker sweeter conclusion with citrus peel.
