Launched in 2023, the third limited release in the Speyside distillery's Quercus Alba Distinction series which highlights the distinctive qualities of maturation in first-fill American oak sherry casks (as opposed to European oak casks). Crafted with wood from the forests of North America which makes its way to Spain to fulfil its purpose of becoming sherry seasoned casks. At the end of this 6-year process, these specially crafted casks are shipped to Tamdhu distillery where only the finest casks are hand-selected to begin maturation. Bottled at 48%.
Nose: Shortbread dipped in vanilla cream, oak, citrus and peppermint.
Palate: Rich, soft oak coats the mouth – giving way to plums and chocolate limes.
Finish: Unshakeable sherried oak fades to dried cherries and honeycomb.
