An official 1792 Bottled in Bond bourbon produced at the famed Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Distilled in 2014, this 9 year old bourbon was produced with the brand's standard high-rye mashbill of 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley. Only 180 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 50%. (Bottle size 750ml)
"Bottled in Bond" refers to an American bourbon whiskey that has been distilled by one distiller, at one distillery, during one distillation season, aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof. These standards were originally specified in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 to guarantee drinkers high quality whiskey produced by a legitimate distiller.
This bourbon is part of a pair of exclusives releases, the other is a 1792 Single Barrel.
