Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial is a demi-sec champagne that owes the name Nectar to its generous dosage and fruity richness. Produced from a blend that reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three main grape varieties: Pinot Noir for structure (40-50% depending on the vintage), Meunier for its body (30-40%), and Chardonnay for freshness (10-20%). Matured for 18 months in the cellars as well as a minimum ageing period of 3 months after disgorgement. Residual sugar: 45g/l. Bottled at 12%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: After the explosion of tropical notes such as pineapple and mango, the full roundness of stone fruit (mirabelle plum, apricot) settles in, underscored by a light dash of vanilla.
Palate: The mouth is first enveloped by dense tropical fruit notes: pineapple and passion fruit; followed by the firm and silky flavours of stone fruits.
Finish: Finishes on the invigorating freshness of grapefruit.
The Moët & Chandon Champagne House was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, a visionary wine merchant, who quickly made it a name among the European courts. A few years later, his grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, developed the house's international reputation. Owned by the LVMH group since 1987, the house produces unique vintages from a meticulous selection of Champagne terroirs that are renowned worldwide for their quality and appealing character.
