The home of this champagne is located in Mareuil-le-Port, north of Igny-Comblizy by the Marne River in Epernay. The vineyards have a rich chalky subsoil and benefit from both the oceanic rains and continental summers. This non-vintage Brut is a blend of 35% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. The base wine is fermented in both stainless steel and oak vats. On average it spends at least 2 years on the lees before disgorgement. Residual sugar: 7g/l. Bottled at 12%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Initial brioche on the nose leading to pear and apple notes, highlighted by a magnificent, persistent mousse.
Palate: Elegant yet lively, opens with fruit notes of pear which evolves into with a complex vanilla and brioche note.
Finish: Lingering beautiful toasty notes with a hint of oak.
