Grapes for the Kumusha Chenin Blanc 2024 were harvested from three vineyards: the first a 44 year old bush vine from Slanghoek; the second a vineyard planted in 2006 at 365m above sea level (This is one of winemaker Tinashe's favourite sites as it has clay rich sandstone and shale soil resulting in grapes with great depth and concentration.); and the third a vineyard just below the second on the same slope, but a much younger vine brimming with acidity and vibrancy. 20% of the wine spent 6 months in large oak casks (foudres) and 80% in a combination of stainless steel and concrete. The wine spent a total maturation time of 7 months on its gross lees. Residual sugar: 3.3g/l. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Aromas of pear, white peach and lime on the nose.

Palate: A juicy palate with flavours of cantaloupe melon and papaya.

Finish: A crisp dry finish.
